There is also little to confirm, as Peter Jackson has strayed far away from Tolkien’s book of the same name and there are bound to be surprises. Last year’s Desolation of Smaug didn’t have the same level of genius and professionalism as the first instalment (or the previous trilogy for that matter) but expectations are high for what could be Jackson’s final venture into Middle Earth. With a war, a dragon on the loose and Jackson’s desire to bring as many character from The Lord of the Rings as possible, be prepared for something special.
